This website is all about fly fishing on the beautiful Crowley Lake near Mammoth Lakes, California in the Eastern Sierras off the famous 395 Highway.

Crowley Lake sustains a healthy trout fishery with some of the hardest pulling trout in all of California. This lake is part of the Owens River and created with the construction of the Long Valley Dam which holds back 183,465 acre-feet. The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) owns the water rights. Also feeding Crowley Lake is McGee Creek, Hilton Creek, Crooked Creek, Convict Creek and the Owens River. The elevation is around 6,800 ft.

Crowley sits east of the Sierra Mountain Range in the Owens Valley which has an alkaline environment. This creates a silty mud bottom which fosters a rich aquatic environment for insects and fish.
